Learn how to keep Safari up to date
Safari has been Apple's Web browser for many years, and the company keeps making improvements to it at regular intervals. Originally designed to be a Web browser with the Mac OS look and feel. Testing conducted by Apple in August 2020 using MotionMark 1.1 and Speedometer 2.0 performance benchmarks. Safari tested on production iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 13.6.1 and prerelease iOS 14, with WPA2 Wi-Fi network connection. Performance will vary based on system configuration, network connection, and other factors. Alternative Safari download from external server (availability not guaranteed). Notes: Safari is available by updating your Mac to the latest version of OS X. By clicking the download button you'll be redirected to the OS X El Capitan download page in the Mac app Store. The first step to updating your Safari browser is checking if your Mac actually has any available system updates. If you have macOS Mojave or later, upgrades will come via your System Preferences. The latest version of OS X features an elegant design, includes enhancements to the apps you use most, and enables your Mac and iOS devices to work together in new ways. Learn more about OS X; Safari extensions are a great way for you to add new features to Safari. Built by developers, Safari extensions use the latest web technologies.
